Who gets listed
Compromised consumer machines, exploitable servers, and any IP exhibiting bot-like SMTP behaviour.
Reputation impact
Severe for senders. Often indicates a compromised mail server — fix the host before requesting delisting.
How to delist
Scan the host for malware, patch the exploit, secure the SMTP listener, and use the Spamhaus self-service delist tool. XBL typically expires automatically after the source signal stops.
